Thanksgiving 30 Day Scripture Writing Plan
During the month of November each year, I usually have my children focus on the concept of thankfulness. We've done "thankful books" and "thankfulness jars," and this year all three of them asked if we make another thankfulness tree on our entry wall. I plan to work with them on getting it set up tomorrow and we will make some wax and watercolor leaf rubbings. On these leaves, we will inscribe something for which we can give thanks. It can be as simple as being thankful for our dog or as awesome as being thankful for Jesus' sacrifice.
As I mentioned in an earlier post, I'm sharing the plan my daughter and I will be using for "scripture writing" this month. Below is a list of verses I've compiled, with one scripture for each day of the month, focusing on thankfulness. The passages selected have only one to three verses to copy, making it a manageable amount for both of us. Some of the verses continue the previous day's passage because, frankly, I had trouble limiting it to three verses!
Whenever I have taken the time to write out a verse or passage, it has brought out nuances I had not noticed before. I hope you will join us in this daily scripture writing endeavor. If you do work through this plan, I would love some feedback on what you liked (or didn't like). You can comment below or message me through the Elihu's Corner Facebook Page.
